We would like to welcome you to Girlpower by Antonia Cup - F14, an
international tournament played on a full size rink for girls born in 2012 and
2013!
As you, who been joining us before at tournaments in Upplands Väsby know,
we try to do our very best to give all participants an experience to remember.
We promise to pay close attention to details as well as to the big
picture.
The tournament will be a fantastic opportunity to prepare your team for a
season playing full size hockey. We are looking forward to some great hockey,
to making new friends and having a lot of fun!
There will be 2 levels in this tournament, AAA (Svår-Medel) and AA
(Medel-Lätt), with 6 team in each level. The different levels are called
Leagues.
All teams will advance to playoffs where every team plays one semifinal and
either Bronze Medal Game och Gold Medal Game. This way, all games will mean
something, there will be more close games and at the end, a lot of happy and
satisfied players!
Dates: Friday 31st of October and Saturday 1st of
November (Group stage). Sunday 2nd of November (Playoffs)
Arenas: Renew Arena and Vilunda Ishall B in Upplands
Väsby
Teams: 6 teams in each level. 12 teams in total.
Leagues: Superstar League
is AA and Elite League is AAA.
Ages: Girls born in 2012 and 2013. Up to 3 younger
players, born in 2014, will be okay. Older players only with permission from
Tournament management.
Style: Full ice, 5 on 5. In playoff overtime, it will
be 3 on 3.
Game time: 2 x 20 minutes in Group
Stage. In Playoffs, there will be 3 minutes over time, played 3 on 3, and
thereafter penalty shots.
Structure: In both Leagues, all
teams will play each other, resulting in 5 group stage games. All teams will
advance to semifinals in three different brackets, Sapphire in Superstar
League, and Diamond in Elite League. The top two teams in Superstar League and
team 5 and 6 will the Emerald playoff bracket.
Referees: High level referees from
Div.1, SDHL and the TV-Pucken playoffs.
Trophies, medals and awards: There will be trophies for all teams as well as medals for the top 3 teams
in the Diamond Playoffs. Player of the game will be announced for both teams
after each game and all coaches will help us elect an ALL STAR TEAM for each
League in the tournament. There will also be awards for the top goaltender
and the player with the most points.
Special Award: There will be an
award for the best fans in the tournament. We want to see flags, jerseys and
drums on the stands! Paint your faces, wear hats and make some noise! Please
remember, cheer for your own team, and maybe other teams, but stay positive at
all times. No heckling of players or referees are allowed!
Meals: Lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday as well
as lunch on Sunday will be included. For teams playing Gold Medal Games in Emerald and Diamond Playoffs, dinner on Sunday will also be included.
Registration fee per Team: SEK 6.000. To be paid in full, after registration, to guarantee the
teams participation.
Player fee: SEK 800. To be
paid 30th of September at the latest. All teams pays for a minimum of 15
players.
Coach / Team leader fee: 3 coaches / Team
leaders are included for free. Additional coach / team leader is SEK 600. To be
paid 30th of September at the latest.

Open Gymnasium: We are
working on reserving the gymnasium, Vilunda Sporthall, for the entire
tournament. The teams can use this facility for different activities throughout
the duration of the tournament. Maybe play a friendly floorball game against
another team, or a game of basketball with some of your teammates?
Accommodation: Accommodation
is not included in the players fee. However, a special deal is made
for all participants at Scandic Upplands Väsby Hotel. Hotel is to be
booked for the whole team as 1 group via e-mail to
sport.sweden@scandichotels.com. Use code: Girlpower by Antonia Cup. Deadline to
make reservations at the hotel is the 31st of August.
Rates are as follows; Quadruple
room: SEK 1370, Triple room: SEK 1070, Double room: SEK 890, Single room: SEK
790 and there is a possibility to ad an Evening meal for SEK 80, to be
served before bedtime.
