Detroit Compuware Lions Cup 2006 Champions!
After four days of intensive top class youth hockey the Detroit Compuware team from the USA prevailed in one of the most exciting championship matches in the 28 year history of Lions Cup. The Team America USA Selects and Detroit Compuware squads played hockey the way it was meant to be played – with speed, brilliant skills and lots of heart. In all 250 U-12 boys and girls from the USA, Finland and Sweden took part in the 2006 edition of Lions Cup put on by the parents of Huddinge Hockey Team 94.
Huddinge Hockey Team 94 would like to thank the players, coaches, Huddinge Lions Club, Huddinge Hockey, the Spirit of Chicago Foundation and sponsors for making this year’s cup a huge success. We would also like to extend special thanks to Dr. Svein Nilsen for his invaluable services as tournament doctor.
Congratulations to all of this year’s participants and good luck next year when the Huddinge Hockey Team 95 hosts Lions Cup 2007!
