Tävlingsbestämmelser och Regler – Westcoast Trophy

Spelform

• Speltid: Samtliga matcher i Westcoast Trophy spelas 2x20 minuter med effektiv tid.

• Turneringsformat: Cupen spelas antingen som en rak serie eller som ett gruppspel följt av slutspel (anpassat efter slutgiltigt antal lag).

• Matchgaranti: Alla deltagande lag är garanterade minst 6 matcher.

• Rullande tid: Vid en ledning med 5 mål eller mer övergår matchen till rullande tid.

• Målspärr: Vid vinst med mer än 5 måls marginal tillgodoräknas det vinnande laget endast +5 mål i målskillnad, och det förlorande laget -5 mål.

Poängberäkning och Tabellplacering

Poäng i gruppspelet/grundserien fördelas enligt följande:

• Vinst under ordinarie tid: 3 poäng

• Vinst efter straffar: 2 poäng

• Förlust efter straffar: 1 poäng

• Förlust under ordinarie tid: 0 poäng

Om två eller fler lag hamnar på samma poäng avgörs placeringen i tabellen enligt följande prioritering:

1. Inbördes möten

2. Målskillnad

3. Flest gjorda mål

4. Slantsingling

Matchavgörande vid oavgjort resultat

• Gruppspels- och övriga slutspelsmatcher: Vid oavgjort resultat efter ordinarie tid avgörs matchen genom tre (3) straffar per lag. Vinnaren tilldelas en extrapoäng.  (en straff i taget per lag med nya straffläggare tills ett avgörande sker).

• Bronsmatch och final: Vid oavgjort resultat tillämpas 5 minuters förlängning (sudden death, spel 3 mot 3). Är matchen fortfarande oavgjord efter förlängningen avgörs den genom sudden death-straffar (en straff i taget per lag med nya straffläggare tills ett avgörande sker).

Regler och Riktlinjer

• Regelverk: Vi följer Svenska Ishockeyförbundets samt WestCoast Hockeys officiella regler och riktlinjer. Minsta utvisningstid är 2 minuter.

• Försäkring och ansvar: Samtliga spelare och deras utrustning måste vara försäkrade under cupen. All vistelse i Billingehov ishall sker på egen risk.

• Media och fotografering: I och med anmälan godkänner föreningen att WestCoast Hockey har rätt att fotografera samt publicera bilder på spelare och ledare i sociala medier.

• Spelschema och tolkningar: Westcoast Hockey förbehåller sig rätten att ändra spelschemat under cupens gång om oförutsedda händelser kräver det. Vid eventuella meningsskiljaktigheter kring regelverk har cupledningen tolkningsföreträde och fattar det slutgiltiga beslutet.

Domare

• Minst 2-domarsystem tillämpas under hela grundserien/gruppspelet.

Prisutdelning

• Prisutdelningen sker på isen direkt efter finalens slut.

• Pokaler delas ut till lag på 1:a, 2:a och 3:e plats.

• Individuella priser delas även ut till cupens bästa back, forward och målvakt i respektive åldersklass.

Tournament Regulations and Rules – Westcoast Trophy

Tournament Format

• Game Time: All matches in the Westcoast Trophy are played as 2x20 minutes with effective time (stop-time).

• Format: The tournament will be played either as a single round-robin series or as a group stage followed by playoffs (adjusted according to the final number of teams).

• Game Guarantee: All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of 6 games.

• Running Time: In the event of a 5-goal lead or more, the game will switch to running time.

• Goal Cap: In matches won by a margin of more than 5 goals, the winning team will only be credited with a +5 goal difference, and the losing team with -5 goals.

Points and Group Standings

Points in the group stage/regular season are awarded as follows:

• Regulation Win: 3 points

• Penalty Shootout Win: 2 points

• Penalty Shootout Loss: 1 point

• Regulation Loss: 0 points

If two or more teams finish level on points, the standings will be determined by the following tie-breaking criteria:

1. Head-to-head record

2. Goal difference

3. Most goals scored

4. Coin toss

Tie-Breaking Procedure for Individual Matches

• Group Stage and Other Playoff Matches: If a match is tied at the end of regulation time, it will be decided by a three-round penalty shootout (3 shooters per team). The winner is awarded the extra point. (One shootout attempt per team at a time, using different shooters until a decision is reached).

• Bronze Medal Match and Final: If a match is tied, a 5-minute overtime period will be played (sudden death, 3-on-3). If the game remains tied after overtime, it will be decided by a sudden-death penalty shootout (one shooter per team at a time with new shooters until a winner is determined).

Rules and Guidelines

• Rulebook: We follow the official rules and guidelines of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and WestCoast Hockey. The minimum penalty time is 2 minutes.

• Insurance and Liability: All players and their equipment must be insured during the tournament. Attendance and participation at Billingehov Ice Rink is at your own risk.

• Media and Photography: By registering, the club consents to WestCoast Hockey’s right to photograph and publish images of players and leaders on social media.

• Schedule and Interpretations: Westcoast Hockey reserves the right to alter the game schedule during the tournament should unforeseen circumstances require it. In the event of any disputes regarding the rules, the Tournament Management reserves the right of final interpretation and decision-making.

Referees

• A minimum of a 2-referee system will be applied throughout the entire regular season/group stage.

Award Ceremony

• The award ceremony will take place on the ice immediately following the conclusion of the final.

• Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

• Individual awards will also be presented to the tournament's best defenseman, forward, and goaltender in each age category.
