Rungsted 2026 Easter Cup – Tournament Rules
Match Format
Round Robin Matches – Points System
Tiebreaker Criteria (Round Robin Standings)
If two or more teams have the same number of points after the round robin matches, standings will be determined as follows:
a) Goal differential (goals scored minus goals conceded)
b) Most goals scored
c) Head-to-head result between tied teams
d) Coin toss
Playoff Games – Points and Tie Resolution
-
Playoff games cannot end in a tie.
-
If a playoff game is tied at the end of regulation, a shootout will determine the winner.
-
The shootout consists of three shots per team (best of three).
-
If still tied after three shots, the shootout continues in sudden death format until one team scores and the other does not.
-
The winner of the shootout advances to the next round or takes the higher placement.
Game Rules
-
Standard ice hockey rules apply, including offside and icing (hybrid icing).
-
Contact is allowed.
-
Illegal contact and any other misconduct will result in penalties.
Penalties
Penalty Box Volunteers
We kindly ask that each team provides one team member or parent to be
responsible for the penalty box for their team during each game they
play. If this is not possible, please let us know in advance so that we
can make other arrangements.
Player of the Match
Each team may select one player of the match for each game. That player
will receive a tournament puck as a prize. The head coach should inform
the referee of the selected player at the end of the match, and the
referee will present the award.
If
you prefer not to select players of the match, that’s no problem—just
let us know, and we will provide the head coach with the equivalent
number of pucks to be handed out as he or she wishes.
Live Streaming
Scores and results will be updated live on cuponline.se and all matches will be streamed live at www.jfmplay.dk.
