Dear ice hockey friends, let us invite you to international ice hockey tournament for youth  U9 and U10 CHRISTMAS LIONS CUP 2023  which will be held in town Most and which belongs to the CZECH OPEN tournament series.

Age categories and basic information:
U 10 - 2014 & younger - 18th - 20th December 2023

U 9   - 2015 & younger - 18th - 20th December 2023

 

Winners U9:  HS Riga

 

 

Winner U10:  HS Riga

 

 

- played with 3 + 1 players on shared ice-surface, with black puck

- Match time 2x 20 min. (running time)

 

Girls can be max. one (1) years older.

Cup start – on Monday 18th December 2023 - in the morning at 9:00
Cup finish – on Wednesday 20th December 2023 – in the afternoon approx. at 15:00-16:00

(it is necessary to come into tournament place on Sunday afternoon/evening)

Play level – AA (middle) 

Ice-rink – ICE-ARENA in Most

Every team has guaranteed 6-7 games in the tournament

 

Attendant program - skill competitions: 
Full attendant program is ready for all participants. Together with official gala ceremonials in the beginning and in the end of tournament there is a possibility to participate in skill competitions. 4 players and 1 goalie can participate of each team. They compete in following disciplines – speed skating, shooting on targets, slalom with puck and penalty shooting.

Note:

The place in the tournament is only confirmed when the Entry fee has been paid.

As a condition of acceptance, out-of-town teams must stay at an cup organizer´s authorized hotel. Several price alternatives are offered:
HOTEL CASCADE: in downtown Most.
7-10 minutes walk distance from the ice rink, rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated, TV-sat, wi-fi, wellness etc.
- Price 68 € person/night with full board (breakfast and dinner served at hotel, lunch at ice-arena restaurant)
- Price 72 € person/night with full board (all meals served in the restaurant of Hotel Cascade)
- Price 55 € person/night - for parents - only bed and breakfast

 

ACCOMMODATION:
Players are usually accommodated in triple rooms, other people - coaches, leaders, parents - in double/twin rooms.   
Limited number of single rooms can be obtained for additional extra cost 30€/night.
 
Payment:
Entry fee – with team registrartion.
-  for meals, hotel accommodation and ev. bus transfers 6 weeks before tournament starts (according to an invoice from the cup organizer)
-  all your payments you will make directly to cup organizer´s bank account mentioned above
 
Bus transport
– it is approx. 100 km from the Airport Prague to Most
-  price for bus transfers is 900 € to Most and back to the airport
 
Most is the small city under the Ore Mountains, approx. 90 km north of the capital city Prague. Modern architecture is for this city typical, with a few historical elements, which are from ancestral city Most – today nonexistent because of coal mining. It is possible to visit especially moved church of assumption of the Virgin Mary and the view point from the 12th century – The castle Hnevin. Not only landmark lovers have one’s own back. Horse-race area Hipodrom, race circuit Autodrom, but also water area Aquadrom and many others, so is the city Most.
 
Notice:
Transport to the Czech Republic and insurance costs are on responsibility of players/team.
