Huddinge Hockey Team 2000 and Lions Club are arranging the Lions Cup for the 34th year in succession
This year’s tournament is for players born 2000 and will take place 29 March -1 April 2012 in Huddinge, Sweden.
There will be four days of intensive top class youth hockey with teams from the USA, Finland and Sweden. More than 250 players will take part in the 34th Lions Cup.
After more than 60 games of Hockey there will only be one winner. Or will there?
Making new friends, exchanging experiences, meeting other cultures and all of that mixed with exciting hockey. We’ll all be winners!
The fourteen teams taking part are divided into two groups. After the initial group round-robin matches the four best teams in each group proceed to the tournament play-off. Teams finishing fifth, sixth and seventh in each group will play-off for the minor places.
A necessity for a successful and enjoyable Lions Cup 2012 is that everyone together creates a pleasant and sporting atmosphere. This is achieved by everyone (players, coaches and spectators alike) conducting themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times regardless of team affiliation.

Att lära känna nya vänner, utbyta erfarenheter och möta andra kulturer i kombination med vår älskade ishockey kommer att göra oss alla till vinnare!
De fjorton delatgande lagen är indelade i två grupper. Efter en inledande enkelserie går de fyra främsta lagen i respektive grupp vidare till sutspel. Resterande lag spelar placeringsmatcher om platserna 9-14.
För ett roligt och framgångsrikt Lions Cup 2012 är det nödvändigt att vi tillsammans skapar en vänlig och idrottslig atmosfär. Vi uppnår detta genom att alla, såväl spelare, ledare som publik, på ett diciplinerat sätt uppför sig hövdligt och sportsligt oavsett lagtillhörighet.
