TOURNAMENT
ORGANIZERS
Łodzki Klub Hokejowy (Lodz Ice Hockey Club) is the organizer of
tournament. City of Lodz Office , Marshal Office of Lodz and MOSiR Łódź are the
co-organizers.
PARTICIPANTS.
Teams’ rosters may be comprised of maximum 20
players and 2 goalies born in 2007, 2008
or younger. Each team may also have maximum 3 girls born in 2006.
DATE AND VENUES OF THE TOURNAMENT
The tournament is held at two ice rinks in Lodz
Retkinia Popiełuszki 13b street and „Bombonierka”
Stefanowskiego 28 street on 16th, 17th and 18th November.
The manager of each team should present the
following documents to the Technical Committee before the start of the
tournament:
1. the completed team rooster with first
and last names and players’ numbers
2. the valid medical statement of each
athlete
3. for Polish players: PZHL
Registration Cards or school cards
4. for foreign players: a copy of
passport
PLAYING
TIME
- Playing time for all games
will be 2 x 20 minutes stop time periods
- A running clock may be used if one team is ahead by 5
or more goals.
- If the goal difference is reduced to 2 goals the game is
continued with the game stop time
- Ice cleaning takes place after each match
- There will be a 5minute pre-game warm-up , pucks are not used
GAME
POINTS
- 3 points for the winning
team at the conclusion of 2x20 minutes time
- 1 point for both teams at the conclusion of 2 x 20 min time
if the game is tied
- An additional point earned for the team winning after game
winning shots procedure
- 0 points for the team losing the game in 2 x 20 min time
- If the game is tied three different shooters from
each team will take alternate shots, until a decisive goal is scored.
- If the game is still tied after three shots by each team,
the GWS will continue with a tie-break shoot out by one player of each team,
with a reversed shooting order. The same or new players can take the tie-break
shots.
Preliminary round
- the preliminary round is held on Friday 16th November
and Saturday 17th November
- the teams are divided into two groups, each of 5
teams. A group plays at the ice rink 'Bombonierka' whereas B group plays
at the ice rink 'Retkinia'
- it is a round robin tournament i.e. all-play-all tournament
- after the preliminary round the teams are placed
according to the gained points
- in case of a tie i.e. the equal points gained by two or
more teams, the following factors decide:
a) in case of two teams:
- Head-to-head (mutual) games between
the teams concerned
- Overall goal differential.
- Higher number of goals scored
for.
b) If three or more teams have the same
number of points in their group after
completion of the round-robin, then their ranking is determined by the higher number
of points in a special standing composed just from the results of their
head-to-head (mutual) games. If the number of points is equal between the teams
in this special standing just from the results of their head-to-head (mutual)
games, then the following tie breaking criteria applies
1. Goal differential in the standing between the teams involved.
2. Higher number of goals scored between the teams involved.
3. Goal differential from all games played in the group.
4. Higher number of goals scored from all games played in the group.
Final round
The
final round is held on Saturday 17th
November and Saturday 18th November
The
two teams from each group that came first and second qualify to final group A and compete for
places 1-5
The
two teams from each group that came 4th and 5th qualify to final group B and compete for
places 6-10
The
two teams from each group that came 3rd
play against each other The winner qualifies to final group A. The losing team plays in final group B and competes for places 6-10
The
Final round is a round robin tournament
i.e. all-play-all tournament
Teams
that play against each other in the first round do not play again against each
other in the final round The score of their match is taken into account .
The
same rules as in preliminary round apply when deciding final standings of the
tournament
Awards at the end of the tournament go to:
1. the best goalie
2. the best forward player
3. the best player of the tournament
4. the best player of ŁKH team
REGULATIONS
Each match is supported by two on-ice referees.
IIHF and PZHL regulations apply in the tournament.
The player who received a match penalty is suspended from the rest of the
tournament.
The player who received two 10minute penalties is suspended from one match.
