Game time is 2 x 20 minutes
Time between periods is 2 minutes
One timeout is allowed per team and game
Two referees per game
Body checking are allowed
Penalties according to the rules of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association
Minor penalty 2 minutes
Major penalty 5 minutes
Game misconduct penalty 5+20 minutes
In the event of a game misconduct penalty the player must leave the ice and the game. If the same player is given a game misconduct penalty again it will be suspended from the next game. If the same player is given a game misconduct penalty for the third time it will be suspended for the rest of the tournament.
Hybrid icing
Players is allowed to make shifts during boxplay and during icing
The team must be ready to come on the ice 5 minutes before the game starts
The teams start on the opposite side of their substitution box
No change of sides for second period (the teams play on the same side the whole game)
Zamboni time between every game
Preliminary round
All teams play 3 games each in the preliminary round
In the preliminary round a win gives 2 points, a draw 1 point and a loss 0 points.
If two teams end up with the same points after the preliminary round the following applies:
1. Goal difference
2. Goals scored
3. Goals conceded
4. Head to head

Quarterfinals (1A-4B, 2A-3B, 3A-2B, 4A-1B)
Semifinals (WQ1-WQ2, WQ3-WQ4)
Placement game (LQ1-LQ2, LQ3-LQ4)
Bronze game (LS1-LS2)
Placement game (WP1-WPS, LP1-LP2)
Final (WS1-WS2)
In the event of a draw after full time in the playoffs, penalties apply where each team may take 3 penalties each with different penalty takers (the away team starts the penalty shootout).
If it is still tied after these penalties, there will be "Sudden death" penalties (the home team starts the penalty shootout). Here former penalty shooters may be used again.
We hope that all teams maintain the highest level and that it should not have to be applied but if a team leads by 5 goals the game time will roll the last 15 minutes of the game. If the team that is behind catches up to a 2 goal difference, the game is played with regular time again.
