Master Rules
Interpretations and judgments are made by the Sweden Selects Invitational Committee
(tävlingsledning) in consultation with match referees. Protests are to be
lodged immediately, not later than 15min, after the completion of the game
in question to the speaker booth crew. Protest fee 1000SEK, which is returned
when approved protest.
Teams must consist of at least 15 + 2 players.
Group Matches: One group of seven teams. The teams play against
each of the other teams in their group one time.
Group will be based on the sum of the points. If two teams finish with the
same total of points, the following rules will be used to determine the final
group standings:
1. Best Goal Differential (Goals Scored minus Goals Allowed)
2. Most Goals Scored
3. Result of Head to Head Match
4. Coin Toss
Play-off Series: Seven teams will continue to the playoff.
Team placed 1 and 2 in regulation goes direct to semifinals.
Team 3-5 to quarterfinal and team 6-7 plays qualification game to quarterfinal.
Play-off Draws: In the event of a draw, the winner will be decided by 5 min Overtime, if still draw, a best
of three series of penalty shots, with different players taking turns. If after
three penalty shots there is still not a winner the teams will continue to take
penalties one at a time until a winner is determined.
Final: In the event of a tie in the Championship match, the teams will play a
Overtime for max10 minutes, followed by penalty shots if no goals are scored
during Overtime period. Different players take turns taking the
penalty shots. If after three penalty shots there is still not a winner the teams
will continue to take penalties one at a time until a winner is determined.
Match length: The games are 2x20 minutes.
Rules
Sweden Selects Invitaional follows the recommendations and guidelines of the Swedish
Hockey Association.
Checking: Checking is allowed.
Penalty Length: Minor penalty time length is two minutes.
Officiating: There will be two referees for each game.
Prize Awarding ceremony :
Takes place directly after the final game.
The ceremony for the Wandering Trophy.
The memorial prize goes to the winner
